Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz asparagus, tough ends removed
  • 1/2 oz shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • White sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, red wine vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and dijon mustard to make dressing.
  • Drizzle sesame oil over asparagus, tossing to coat.
  • Grill asparagus over high heat for 1-2 minutes each side, until bright green. Thicker asparagus may take longer.
  • Cut asparagus into 1½ inch diagonal slices. Put asparagus and thinly sliced shallots in a bowl and drizzle dressing over the top. Toss to coat.
  • Sprinkle white sesame seeds over top, if desired.
